About the role
A System Administrator in Kwik Trip’s Network Services Department provides operational support for the company’s systems, working both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with implementation and support of server and application environments.
- Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of upgrades, migrations, conversions, and implementations.
- Manage and administer security updates.
- Utilize Kwik Trip’s incident, problem, and change management tools to manage ITIL processes.
- Serve as the team’s escalation point, providing initial triage of incidents and requests.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Information Systems/Network Systems Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience related to server and infrastructure management, with specific focus on the setup and maintenance of servers and applications within a virtual environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems.
- Experience with Office 365 administration (including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, etc.).
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Group Policy management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Ability to multi-task and perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well independently as well as on a team.
- Ability to meet project and department deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge or experience with Linux server operating systems.
- Knowledge or experience with Ansible and/or other automation tools.
- Knowledge or experience with incident management platforms (e.g., Service Now or Jira).
- Experience with VMware enterprise virtualization products.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, daytime hours with rotating on-call responsibilities. Weekend and non-business hours work may be required as needed. This position requires a 50% onsite/remote hybrid schedule.
