System Administrator SME

About the Role

Intrepid Solutions is supporting the National Air & Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) by providing IT support services across multiple contract task orders. This growing program offers diverse needs and opportunities for career development and growth. The System Administrator SME will provide enterprise administration support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Domain Name Service configuration integrated across Windows/Unix.
• Maintain and update Active Directory & Exchange environments, ensuring stale user and admin accounts are removed in accordance with DoD and NASIC policy/instruction.
• Perform file and email message remediation as necessitated by identified security incidents.
• Maintain and update clustered Exchange servers for high-availability, including daily review of system and application logs for the Exchange cluster.
• Verify delivery and transit of email inbound/outbound to other SMTP mail servers.
• Provide highly-available, fault-tolerant file/print cluster services such as drivers, spooler, and printer configuration.
• Configure and maintain Windows attached storage.

Operating Hours and Expectations: This position operates on a standard 8-hour schedule, Monday through Friday, and currently requires onsite support.

Travel: Position does not anticipate regular travel.

Requirements

Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI required upon application for initial consideration.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Certifications: Department of Defense (DoD) 8140/8570 Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II (CompTIA Security+) certification required, or ability to obtain within 30 days of application. Certifications in Microsoft/MS operating systems (e.g., MTA, MCSA, MCSE) are also required.

Skills

• Six or more years of experience as a Windows System Administrator, troubleshooting and resolving problems in a complex environment.
• Experience with roaming Windows profiles for approximately 350+ personnel.
• Demonstrated knowledge of various scripting languages including Perl, Python, Bash, PowerShell, and VBScript.
• Experience with the following technologies: Windows 7, 8, and 10 desktop operating systems; Exchange 2007/2010/2013 Server; VMWare ESX; SQL Server 2005/2008/2012; SharePoint; SCCM; SMS; WSUS; Flexera AdminStudio; Windows Server 2003/2008/2012; Citrix; Windows Terminal Services; Hummingbird; Samba; Quest Vintela Authentication Services; MS Cluster Services; Active Directory; Symantec Antivirus Server; McAfee Antivirus Server; Microsoft Office Suite including Visio and Project; Internet Information Server; Admin Studio; Multimedia Message (M3) client; ESRI ArcGIS; Analyst Notebook; Adobe products; Lotus Notes.

Pay

Pay Range: $160,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year

Schedule

Full-time (hybrid), standard 8-hour schedule Monday through Friday.
