System Administrator (SIEM-Security Information and Event Management)

Job Summary

Our client is looking for experienced System Administrators to support the State of New York's Department of Social Services (DSS) in various critical IT initiatives.

Required Skills

• Minimum 4 Years of core competencies in routing, firewall, Intrusion detection system (IDS), and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technologies.
• Minimum 4 Years of experience with VoIP technologies and wireless systems, with a strong background in VoIP technology deployment in large environments.
• Minimum 4 Years of experience with testing methods and analysis of results using automated tools or custom tools to evaluate network and security infrastructure.
• Minimum 4 Years of experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysis of network outages and slowdowns.
• Minimum 4 Years of expertise communicating effectively, on both a technical and non-technical level, with appropriate Agency staff at all levels, as well as with vendors.
• Minimum 4 Years of expertise in handling multiple projects and deadlines.
