System Administrator II (VMWare)

Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide VMWare support for the Air Force Intranet Control (AFINC) III Support program at Maxwell AFB/Gunter Annex.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage capacity and trending reports of system operations.
• Analyze system requirements and performance of hardware/software systems, and develop/recommend specific measures to increase the overall efficiency of these systems.
• Perform day-to-day troubleshooting and maintenance of VMware ESXi, vCenter, NSX, and related servers.
• Perform annual DISA STIGs compliance checks on all VMWare servers and installed software.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Security+ certification.
• One of the following VMWare certifications: Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV) or Network Virtualization (VCP-NV).
• Experience installing, testing, tuning, maintaining, hardening, upgrading, patching, designing, and documenting supporting systems, utility programs, and monitoring tools for physical hosts and virtual machines running VMWare operating systems on both classified and unclassified networks.
• Experience with system design, implementation, and support of core Windows server infrastructure/components.
• Excellent communication (oral and written), analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to conceptualize server infrastructures and configurations.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
