System Administrator
About the role
SERC is seeking an experienced System Administrator to join our team reporting to the Director of IT and Security. The System Administrator will support local and wide area networks, ensuring the integrity of the network, endpoint deployment, and security through documentation and policy enforcement.
Responsibilities
- Support LANs, WANs, Internet, and intranet systems
- Support Audio Visual equipment and supports end-user use of it
- Ensure the build design of endpoint systems meets organizational needs
- Make recommendations for future upgrades
- Monitor endpoints to ensure security and collaborate with Security Team on projects and mitigations
- Support patching and vulnerability management activities
- Troubleshoot problems reported by users and analyze and isolate issues
- Support configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services
- Administer servers, laptop and desktop computers, printers, phones, company mobile phones, software deployment
- Manage M365 users and services and Intune
- Work closely with senior level administrators and architects within IT and Security to support design and deployment of architecture
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences plus 2-4 years of progressively responsible experience in IT or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in systems administration, end-user support, and cloud service management
- Experience with current Microsoft Desktop and Server Operating Systems
- Experience with ITIL/ITSM
- Experience with Powershell and scripting
- Experience with Microsoft Intune
- Experience with M365 Administration
- Experience with Virtualization
