System Administrator

Roles & Responsibilities

• Configuring and maintaining the networked computer system, including hardware, system software, and applications.
• Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise.
• Replacing and upgrading defective or outdated components when necessary.
• Making sure the system performs well and stays secure.
• Looking into ways to make the networked computer system better.
• Helping people who need it with computer problems.
• Writing down how things should be done in the computing system.
• Evaluating how stable, safe, and fast the installed Windows systems are.
• Installing or changing Windows systems and servers.
• Helping people who use the computing system.
• Solving computer and server problems.
• Checking system and user reports about problems.
• Maintaining the Windows codebase.

Educational Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• Proven work experience as a Windows Administrator is preferred.
• Detailed knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance.
• Ability to create scripts in PowerShell, Python, and similar languages.
• Experience with databases, patch management, and networks including LAN and WAN.
• Familiarity with modern operating systems and server platforms.
• Knowledge of network security systems, intrusion detection systems, and data backup.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good analytical and communication skills.
