About the role
Concept Plus is seeking a System Administrator to operate within a multi-disciplinary IT team consisting of cybersecurity analysts, network engineers, and service desk personnel. The role requires broad systems knowledge with hands-on experience in Azure cloud services, containerized environments (Docker), IPv4/IPv6 networking, basic Cisco switch configuration, identity, credential and access management (ICAM), and virtual machine provisioning.
What you'll do
- Support infrastructure initiatives by working with network and systems teams to deploy, configure, and maintain servers and associated network hardware (Cisco, Aruba).
- Build, manage, and optimize virtual machines in Azure and Hyper-V environments; perform system integration tasks, patching, and application/service maintenance.
- Execute Azure and Microsoft 365 administrative activities, including cloud networking, subscription management, and resource deployments.
- Provide ICAM user and system administration; assist with identity integrations such as OKTA SSO.
- Deliver Tier III support for escalated workstation and server issues; collaborate with help desk and external vendors to resolve complex technical problems.
- Participate in the on-call rotation to support enterprise systems, networks, and end-user devices during off-hours.
- Troubleshoot a wide range of system issues including hardware faults, software failures, and network disruptions; manage and resolve service tickets across all tiers.
- Provide escalation and technical support for enterprise infrastructures and core services.
- Assist with the implementation and compliance tracking of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Maintain technical standards, operational procedures, and up-to-date system documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- DoD 8140/8570 certification at the IAT II level (e.g., Security+, CCNA-Security, GICSP, CySA+) or ability to meet all requirements within 6 months of hire.
- Azure Cloud Certification or comparable credential.
- Strong understanding of Azure administration, cloud networking models, VNets, and resource configuration.
- Experience managing Microsoft Hyper-V virtual machines.
- Practical knowledge of Linux operating systems and Linux lifecycle management.
- Experience with ICAM principles and user/system administration within identity governance frameworks.
