Synagogue Assistant - Student Rabbi (Part-time)

Part-time, every other Sabbath and major Jewish holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading Synagogue services for Sabbath and major Jewish holidays.
• Conduct religious programming for Sabbath and major Jewish holidays for all residents/patients.
• Provide pastoral visits and counseling for residents/patients.
• Assist Director of Pastoral Services in providing the spiritual environment appropriate for Sabbath and Jewish holidays.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts or Sciences.
• At least 3 years of experience in Jewish communal service.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of Jewish practices related to Synagogue, dietary laws, and Jewish holidays.
• Ability to read Hebrew.
• Ability to communicate effectively, including public speaking.
• Ability to meet multiple demands and perform job requirements on time.
