About the role

The Katherine Thomas School, a program of TLC in Rockville, MD, seeks a full-time, 10-month Speech Language Pathologist or Certified Facilitator (CF) starting in the 2026/2027 school year. Services are provided to students with language, learning, sensory motor disabilities, and/or moderate to high functioning autism.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with communication learning problems including speech, pragmatic language, and autism.
• Utilize Augmentative systems, Visualizing and Verbalizing, and Social Thinking as needed.
• Show strong diagnostic evaluation and report writing skills.

Requirements

• Masters degree in Speech Pathology, Speech and Hearing Sciences or equivalent degree.
• Licensed by the State of MD.
• Experience with Augmentative systems, Visualizing and Verbalizing, and Social Thinking is preferred.
• Strong diagnostic evaluation and report writing skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master's degree in Speech Pathology, Speech and Hearing Sciences, or a related field.
• Must be licensed by the State of Maryland.
• Experience with Augmentative systems, Visualizing and Verbalizing, and Social Thinking is a plus.
• Strong diagnostic evaluation and report writing skills are required.

Pay

$63,000 to $79,000 for 10 months for the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), based on experience. The CF salary is $62,500 for 10 months.
