Responsibilities

  • Design weekly lesson plans and develop standards-based assessments.
  • Analyze assessment data and create intervention plans to meet scholars’ needs.
  • Integrate technology effectively in the classroom and implement project-based learning.
  • Deliver STEM-oriented instruction to students in grades 6-8.
  • Attend professional development and training related to STEM programs and methodologies.
  • Use technology to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration.
  • Work with school administrators and staff to develop, implement, and evaluate STEM initiatives and curriculum.
  • Organize, develop, and coordinate special STEM events/activities.
  • Initiate new programs that support the STEM vision.

Requirements

  • Have a bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Hold a valid Tennessee teaching license in the endorsement area.
  • Show a proven track record in using a variety of instructional methods, analyzing and using data, and technology to improve instruction.
  • Build professional relationships, solve problems, and plan collaboratively.
  • Show evidence of planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Show proven ability to apply science and/or math content knowledge, formative assessment, and technology integration at a high level.
  • Be able to work in an extended day environment.
  • Show good communication and written skills.
  • Show strong interpersonal skills as a team player.
