Switchgear Technician

Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Changing MCC layouts and painting of the structures.
  • Field service work at client sites as needed.
  • Deliver product to other locations.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Proper use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to pass a respirator fit test and be trained on proper respirator protocol.
  • General understanding and firsthand experience with safe work environments.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and modify documents.
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Mandatory overtime is required based on business need.
  • Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle throughout the assigned territory to transport product.
  • Must possess the following certifications:
    • Pearl Level I and II.
    • Forklift training.
    • TSC Electrical Training Classes completed within one (1) year of hire date.
    • Mine and Safety Administration (MSHA) Training.
    • 10-30 Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Card.
    • In-house Training on individual machines in the shop.
