ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform full CNC Swiss machine setups, including tooling, offsets, materials, and verification of part alignment and readiness.
- Operate and adjust Swiss machines to maintain part quality, making necessary tooling and offset corrections to hold tight tolerances.
- Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, comparators, and/or vision systems, documenting results accurately.
- Troubleshoot routine machining and tooling issues, escalating complex issues to senior machinists or engineering as needed.
- Support production efficiency initiatives, including workflow improvements, minor preventative maintenance, and adherence to established processes.
- Collaborate with team leads and senior machinists to ensure smooth production flow and continuous improvement in setup and machining practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of CNC Swiss machining experience.
- Proven ability to perform complete machine setups on Swiss-type CNC equipment.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T, and working with tight tolerances.
- Familiarity with editing CNC programs (ESPRIT experience a plus, but not required).
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality.
- Able to use precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members.
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
