Swiss/Lathe Setup Operator - 2nd Shift

About the role

Individual will be responsible for setting up and operating the swiss screw machines and multi-spindle lathe machines. Individual will adhere to current ISO requirements and observe all safety and housekeeping requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operation of swiss and lathe machines; including, loading bar stock, filling fluids, and removing chips from machine.
• Performing setup on swiss and lathe machine; including, tooling changes and adjustments to ensure continued conformance to specifications.
• Conformance with quality specifications.
• Assisting others in trouble shooting, and maintenance activities.
• Assisting in training others on operation and setup of swiss and lathe machines.
• General Housekeeping of work area.

Requirements

• Prior swiss/lathe setup experience or swiss/lathe-based education.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to perform basic reading, writing and mathematical functions.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memorandums, and correspondence.
• Ability to read and decipher electrical schematics and machine drawings.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally and in writing.
