About the role

Job Title: Swiss Lathe Machinist IV - 2nd Shift
Reporting To: Leader, Performance
Work Schedule: Onsite – Buffalo, NY

Responsibilities

• Manufacture complex, high-precision components used in critical aerospace and defense applications
• Machining to create, repair, or alter a wide variety of parts, fixtures, tooling, sub-assemblies, and assemblies of all types of materials
• Plan, fixturing, and layout of the job
• Hold very tight tolerances (.0001-.0002)
• Inspect and quality control all work performed
• Collaborate with Design Draftsmen and Manufacturing Engineers to resolve issues and follow operation instructions
• Make technical decisions related to fixturing, tooling, set-up, and inspection methods

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions in English
• Demonstrated ability to perform simple arithmetic operations
• At least 5 years’ experience as a diversified machinist, including experience with Swiss Lathes, preferably on Star Machines
• Previous CAD/CAM experience is a plus

Buffalo, NY: $37.00–$41.00 Hourly Salary Range
