About the role
This on-site position supports our manufacturing facility in Brooklyn Park, MN on 1st shift. The Swiss Machinist II is responsible for setups and operation of Swiss Machines per work instructions and setup sheets, monitoring and adhering to quality standards per the quality manual.
Schedule
Monday–Thursday, 5:00 am–3:30 pm
Pay
The typical pay range for this role is $30.00 – $39.00 per hour. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. This role is also eligible for a 5% quarterly bonus target.

Responsibilities
- Follow job traveler standard rates and report out using hour-by-hour board to meet or exceed production rate and scrap requirements as driven by the ERP system
- Assist Level 1 machinists as needed to ensure product meets quality and customer requirements
- Produce accurate records of completed parts, including scrap and nonconformances, in the ERP system and any hard-copy requirements (job cards, WIP tags)
- Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting actions, irregularities, and continuing needs verbally or in shift-to-shift transfer books
- Report machine, material, and quality concerns to leads/supervisors
- Operate Swiss machines up to 9-axis per manufacturer recommendations and MMD SOPs to produce quality parts per customer prints
- Set up Swiss Machines on most intermediate-complexity production jobs unaided, following work instructions and setup sheets
- Demonstrate extensive understanding of G and M code; some macro program knowledge
- Verify products meet quality specifications visually (using a microscope) and dimensionally (using vision systems, CMMs, hand tools)
- Read and understand QC calc/SPC, use data to perform offsets, tool changes, and maintain dimensional integrity
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Certificate in Machine Trades or equivalent work experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- 2+ years of experience, preferably in Medical Device or Component manufacturing
- Able to use a computer, calculator, read and write in English, and perform shop math
- Able to use measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, dial indicators

- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
