Swing Weld Leadman

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced welding tasks as needed, including FCM and RT-quality welds.
• Identify complex weldments, equipment needs, and potential risks; communicate proactively with the Welding Foreman and production teams.
• Train, mentor, and support welding personnel in proper techniques and procedures.
• Maintain organized work areas and ensure efficient sequencing of tasks.
• Monitor work quality and escalate issues to QC, Mechanics, or the Welding Foreman.
• Ensure compliance with welding procedures, quality standards, and all safety policies.
• Cookordinate with welding management, quality, and production departments.
• Maintain required documentation, including welder IDs, consumable logs, and Job Control Documents (JCDs).
• Conduct daily shift-to-shift turnover communication.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of heavy fabrication experience; TMF experience preferred.
• Must meet all requirements of a Fab-1 classification or higher.
• Trained and authorized in forklift operation, scissor lifts, boom lifts, rigging, and overhead crane use.
• Strong welding proficiency in FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, and SAW processes.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to lead without formal supervisory authority.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
