About the role

VCA Mueller Pet Medical Center is a well-established, AAHA-accredited, multi-doctor, 24-hour emergency & general practice in Sacramento, California. We are seeking a highly motivated full-time energetic Swing Technician Assistant to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Create a clean, positive, low-stress atmosphere
• Support the team with basic patient care
• Perform basic nursing care
• Assist with general hospital maintenance
• Stock medical supplies
• Sanitize
• Laundry
• Various other tasks to assist the team in maintaining high standards of patient care

Requirements

• Available to work swing shifts: 2pm-10:30pm or 4pm-12:30am
• An interest in gaining veterinary experience
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment while showing compassion to the animals in our care
• A strong work ethic with the ability to independently perform daily duties on a consistent basis and to take initiative
• Flexible schedule including weekends and evenings
• A positive and professional attitude with a friendly demeanor towards animals and people
• Working efficiently while remaining calm in stressful situations
• Attention to detail and organizational skills are required, as well as the ability to be self-directed in their daily tasks

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a veterinary setting preferred

Full time position pays $18 per hour depending on experience. Swing shifts available: 2pm-10:30pm or 4pm-12:30am
