Swine Marketing Intern

About the role

The Swine Marketing Intern’s primary objective will be to learn all aspects of Sandhills products and services, and to focus on new market development within the swine industry. This position requires prior experience or knowledge in the swine industry.

Responsibilities

- Contact sellers within the swine and livestock industries and educate them on our products and services. - Explain our websites and guide them on how to enter their own information, as well as enter their listings. - Handle inbound and outbound customer calls and email communications. - Gather information on shows and meetings in the industry. - Research the swine and livestock industries and determine the proper way to list information on our site. - Provide feedback from the industry. - Build solid relationships with members of the industries we serve. - Work as a team to ensure the success of the websites and publications. - Assume other duties as assigned.

Requirements

- Prior experience or knowledge in the swine industry. - Ability to commute to the local office when scheduled. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Ability to work independently and communicate within a team environment. - Results-oriented. - Flexible and open to change. - Stable and progressive work history. - Professional appearance and demeanor.

Pay

Paid at $20/hour. Internships can start at any point in the semester.
