About the role
Boar's Head Resort is now accepting applications for seasonal Swim Instructors to join our Sports Club team.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Aquatics Manager to determine lesson schedules, emergency procedures, lesson procedures/protocols, paperwork, certificates, and registration
- Meet with Aquatics Manager and Swim Lesson Coordinator to review all policies and procedures
- Attend weekly meetings to discuss suggestions, techniques and address customer comments
- Provide excellent customer service in a professional manner according to 4 Diamond Service Expectations
- Maintain a well organized program tracking attendance system, registration and instructor hours/commissions
- Pick-up Lifeguard shifts if qualified and interested
- Act as a substitute for other Instructors when needed
- Teach Private and Group Swimming Lessons while following BHSC protocols, procedures and policies
Requirements
Essential:
- Prior experience in swim lesson instruction
- Good organizational, communication and leadership skills
- Familiarity with swim lesson programs and coordinating registration/attendance, skill sheets and recording instructor hours
Desirable:
- Strong swimming abilities
- Prior guest service experience
- Water safety certification
- Lifeguard certification
