About the role
VENT Fitness Guilderland is seeking positive, enthusiastic Swim Instructors who love to work with children and swim.
Responsibilities
- Maintain safety in the pools and surrounding pool areas.
- Provides swim instruction to individuals of all abilities.
- Evaluates students' progress, and completes required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Interacts with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students' swim skills.
- Uses problem solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter.
- The ability to be flexible and accommodating as it relates to center hours and work schedules.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Lifeguard is preferred.
- CPR/AED certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
- A current Lifeguard certification from a nationally recognized organization is required.
- A Water Safety Instructor certification is preferred.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with members in a positive, service-based manner.
