Duties of a Swim Lesson Coordinator

• Assist in providing leadership to our aquatics staff.
• Manage and train staff.
• Maintain facility cleanliness.
• Build relationships with staff and members.
• Work up to 25 hours per week.
• Direct service and flexibility to fill in as needed.

Qualifications of a Swim Lesson Coordinator

• A minimum of two years' experience in an aquatics department.
• Lifeguarding experience is required.
• Ability to lead a group of lifeguards through in-service scenarios.
• A degree in wellness or related field is preferred.
• Proficiency with a computer and MS Office.
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED certifications.
• Current YMCA/or American Red Cross Lifeguard/or Ellis certification.
• Oxygen Administration certification within 30 days of hire.
• Lifeguard Instructor certification is highly desired.

About the Role

The Goochland Family YMCA is currently seeking a part-time Swim Lesson Coordinator to help supervise, implement, and coordinate our swim lesson programs. We need someone with evening and weekend availability.
