About the role

This part‑time swim instructor position is based onsite at SwimRVA in Richmond, VA. You will teach swimming skills and water safety to children and adults, create engaging lessons, and help swimmers progress through appropriate station placements.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming techniques and water safety to participants of all ages.
• Manage a dynamic “wet classroom” that follows SwimRVA’s teaching platform.
• Incorporate diverse, fun activities into each lesson to keep participants engaged.
• Assess swimmers’ abilities and determine appropriate station placement and advancement.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and enjoyable learning environment.
