Swim Instructor - Johnstown

Job Summary

The YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking enthusiastic and positive Swim Instructors to join our team. Opportunities are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons to a variety of participants
• Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all students
• Develop and implement lesson plans
• Communicate effectively with parents and other staff members
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Positive attitude and enthusiasm
• Proficient swimming and safety skills
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (preferred)

Qualifications

• No prior teaching experience necessary, but preferred
• Previous competitive swimming experience is preferred
• Blood Borne Pathogens Training within 30 days of hire
• YMCA Swimming Lessons Instructor and Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification preferred

• Maintain body balance
• Use hands and arms to lift, reach, and grasp
• Stand for extended periods
• Walk for long distances

Pay and Schedule

• Salary range: USD $16.50 - USD $22.50 /Hr.
• Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays 4:30-6:30pm, Saturdays and Sundays 9:00-11:30am
