About the role

The primary responsibility of a Swim Instructor I is to teach swimming lessons to children and adults, focusing on safety, technique, and enjoyment. The role also includes maintaining pool equipment and ensuring the cleanliness of the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Teach swimming lessons to children and adults, adhering to age-appropriate lesson plans and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain pool equipment and ensure the cleanliness of the facility.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and students to provide feedback and address concerns.

Requirements

  • A valid lifeguard certification.
  • Experience teaching swimming or related aquatic activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Aquatic Studies, or a related field.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications.

Skills

  • Strong teaching abilities.
  • Knowledge of swim techniques and safety procedures.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students.
