About the role
The primary responsibility of a Swim Instructor I is to teach swimming lessons to children and adults, focusing on safety, technique, and enjoyment. The role also includes maintaining pool equipment and ensuring the cleanliness of the facility.
Responsibilities
- Teach swimming lessons to children and adults, adhering to age-appropriate lesson plans and safety guidelines.
- Maintain pool equipment and ensure the cleanliness of the facility.
- Communicate effectively with parents and students to provide feedback and address concerns.
Requirements
- A valid lifeguard certification.
- Experience teaching swimming or related aquatic activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Aquatic Studies, or a related field.
- First Aid and CPR certifications.
Skills
- Strong teaching abilities.
- Knowledge of swim techniques and safety procedures.
- Ability to motivate and engage students.
