Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of all program participants
- Follow the YUSA Swim Lesson curriculum
- Recognize and correct improper strokes or skills using positive feedback
- Communicate effectively with students and families in a patient, friendly manner
- Show you are a positive role model
Requirements
- Must be 16 or older
- No certification necessary; Y will pay for certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be comfortable and confident in the water
- Must have visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and physical ability to act swiftly in emergency situations
- Must have ability to observe participant activities adequately, to enforce safety regulations and to apply appropriate policies and procedures

- Mandatory Praesidium training completed

- Comprehensive background screening, including criminal and sex offender checks
