Swim Instructor

About the role

The Swift Creek Family YMCA-(Hampton Park) is seeking part‑time swim instructors to lead swim lessons for program participants at our pool. We are looking for candidates with open availability.

Responsibilities

• Be enthusiastic and energetic with strong interpersonal skills.
• Work a variety of shifts with participants of various ages.
• Use a variety of tools and teaching techniques to instruct small groups.
• Teach swimming skills, basic water safety, and the YMCA core values.

Requirements

• Open availability for part‑time work.
• Ability to work varied shifts and with diverse age groups.

Qualifications

• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
• Preferred (but not required): current YMCA, American Red Cross Lifeguard, Ellis and YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor, or WSI certifications.

Skills

• Enthusiastic and energetic demeanor.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with various teaching tools and techniques.

Pay

Pay range: $15‑$17 per hour.
