Swim Instructor
About the role
The Chickahominy Family YMCA is seeking part time swim instructors to lead swim lessons for program participants at our pool. The pay range for this position is $15-$17 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Work with small groups of students teaching swimming skills, basic water safety, and the YMCA core values.
- Use a variety of tools and teaching techniques.
- Work a variety of shifts with a variety of ages.
Qualifications
- Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications.
- Current YMCA, American Red Cross or Ellis, Lifeguard and YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor or WSI certifications preferred but not necessary.
- O2 and additional training required to be completed within the first 30 days of hire.
