Swim Instructor

About the role

The YMCA of the Highland Lakes is seeking experienced, friendly, high-energy Swim Instructors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
• Find and report substitutes to the Aquatics Director.
• Build member relations.
• Maintain equipment and keep area clean.

Requirements

• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
• CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certification (classes available).
• Demonstrate swimming ability.
• Pass reference checks, a criminal history background check, sex offender check, and pre-employment drug screen.

Skills

• Must know and be able to perform all skills required for certifications.
• Verbal communication with public and staff.

Pay

$15.00 – $19.00 per hour based on experience and certifications.

Schedule

Part-time and year round positions available.
