About the role
The YMCA of the Highland Lakes is seeking experienced, friendly, high-energy Swim Instructors.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
- Find and report substitutes to the Aquatics Director.
- Build member relations.
- Maintain equipment and keep area clean.
Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
- CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certification (classes available).
- Demonstrate swimming ability.
- Pass reference checks, a criminal history background check, sex offender check, and pre-employment drug screen.
Skills
- Must know and be able to perform all skills required for certifications.
- Verbal communication with public and staff.

$15.00 – $19.00 per hour based on experience and certifications.
Schedule
Part-time and year round positions available.
