Swim Instructor

About the role

The Hutto Family YMCA is seeking experienced, friendly, high-energy Swim Instructors. This position requires a vigilant, safety-minded person to maintain a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Find and report substitutes to Aquatics Director
• Maintain member relations
• Maintain equipment and keep area clean

Requirements

• A minimum of 16 years of age
• CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certification (classes available)
• Demonstrate swimming ability
• Pass reference checks, a criminal history background check, sex offender check, and pre-employment drug screen

Skills

• Verbal communication with public and staff

$15.00 – $19.00 per hour based on experience and certifications
