Swim Instructor
About the role
The CHASCO Family YMCA is seeking experienced, friendly, high-energy Swim Instructors. This position requires a vigilant, safety-minded person to maintain a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
- Find and report substitutes to Aquatics Director when needed.
- Build member relations.
- Maintain equipment and keep area clean.
Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
- CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certification (classes available).
- Demonstrate swimming ability.
- Pass reference checks, a criminal history background check, sex offender check, and pre-employment drug screen.

- Verbal communication with public and staff.

Pay
$15.00 – $19.00 per hour based on experience and certifications.
Schedule
- Year round weeknights, Monday-Thursday 4:20pm-8pm & Saturdays 8:50am-12:30pm.
- Seasonal week mornings Monday -Thursday 8:50am-12:30pm.
