Swim Instructor

We are an elite swim academy that provides high‑quality swim instruction to our community, building confidence and life‑saving safety skills in a student‑centered environment. Our mission is to eliminate drownings in our community by educating swimmers and parents alike. We are committed to training our staff to be the best swim instructors in the Fox Valley, giving them the tools they need to be successful.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all participants; safety is the number 1 priority.
• Teach swim skills using our curriculum, focusing on each student’s needs, abilities, and comfort.
• Love and respect students while encouraging them to develop high‑quality swim and safety skills efficiently.
• Be a dependable, enthusiastic team player who is consistently present.
• Complete required training and maintain a continual learning mindset.
• Maintain a positive, energetic attitude throughout the shift.
• Communicate regularly with students and fellow staff members to foster learning and safety.
• Cross‑train for Float/Lifeguard positions to help prevent hazards in and around the water.

Qualifications

• Caring and compassionate toward children and adults.
• Energetic, smiling, and enthusiastic throughout the entire shift.
• Ability to work in the water for periods of up to 5 hours.
• Strong communication skills.
• Great attitude and growth mindset.
• Ability to focus in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commitment to at least one year of employment, with afternoons and weekends required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Must be able to be in the water for at least 3 hours at a time.
• Must be able to be on your feet for at least 3 hours.

Schedule

This is a part‑time position requiring afternoon/evening and weekend shifts. Part‑time positions are available, primarily for evening and weekend availability.
