Join our team at the Mahaska County YMCA and help make a difference — one swimmer at a time!

Responsibilities

• Teach YMCA swim lessons following established guidelines and curriculum.
• Create a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment for all participants.
• Encourage and support members in reaching their individual goals.
• Build meaningful relationships with swimmers, parents, and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate lesson records and uphold YMCA safety and conduct standards.

Requirements

• Age 16 or older.
• Confident and comfortable in and around water.
• Friendly, dependable, and eager to work with children and families.
• Willing to learn swim instruction techniques (training provided).
