Swim Instructor

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and encouraging Swim Instructor to join our team! As a Swim Instructor, you will teach students about water safety and swimming techniques using our approved curriculum. The ideal candidate can swim and enjoys working with children and has a positive attitude! We need someone who is energetic, patient, reliable, enjoys teaching, and has a love of water.

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction in our heated pool based on schools curriculum.
• Enforce all safety guidelines and regulations.
• Have fun.
• Smile.
• Teach others a love and appreciation of water.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Swimming experience preferred.
• First aid/CPR certified preferred. Will certify if necessary.
• A positive attitude and friendly demeanor.
• Willingness to receive training
• Knowledge of all 4 strokes recommended.
• Patience.
• A positive attitude.

Compensation

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Callan Swim School

For the last 6 decades, 3 generations of the Callan family have been teaching San Diegans to swim. It is this experience that has separated Callan Swim School from all the other learn-to-swim programs that have come after us. The Callan Swim School program is structured to teach proper swimming skills utilizing a relaxed efficient upper body.
