Swimming lessons save lives, and British Swim School is on a mission to make the world a safer place. We are a nationwide company with over 200 locations teaching more than 20,000 students every week to help save lives!

Requirements for Swim Instructors

• You need to be a “swimmer”. Ideally, you have an understanding of all four strokes and an overall appreciation for the water.
• You've got to love working with children and seeing them progress.
• You need to be upbeat and ready to enjoy having fun at work. Having fun is mandatory!
• This is a year-round position, and we are looking for longer-term employees. This is not a summer job.
• Be able to work weekend mornings (Saturday or Sunday or both) from 8:30 am-2 pm.
• Be able to start weekdays at 3:30 pm.
• Reliable transportation to any of our area locations.

• While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary-aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. It's helpful if you have experience with children or in a child-focused job, but it's not required if you can show the right attitude.
• The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.
• We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you're not in the pool. These are the people committed to providing the best service in the industry. In these roles, you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool.
