Swim Instructor
About the role
You're in the water for about 4 - 6 hours/shift, 4 - 5 shifts/week.
As a part-time Swim Instructor, you lead engaging and effective swimming lessons for students of various ages and skill levels. You create lesson plans that meet each client's and class's needs while aligning with our core values and program standards. Safety is your top priority in the pool, and you strictly follow protocols to maintain a secure learning environment.
You greet students with a smile, build a rapport with the families, and foster trust between you and the children. With an encouraging attitude, you provide quality instruction and help each student feel at home in the swimming pool. You provide constructive feedback, set realistic goals, and track progress to keep your students motivated. By participating in special events and assisting around the facility where needed, you foster a sense of community and help students spread their water wings!
Responsibilities

Requirements
- 18+ years old
- CPR, AED, First Aid, and USSSA Fundamental Swim Instructor certifications (we are willing to help you get certified!)
- Ability to work afternoons and weekends and be in the water for up to 5 hours at a time
- Excellent communication skills and ability to teach children
- Positive attitude, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to learn and take direction
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to commit to 1+ years of employment and complete Aqua Duks training
