SWE, Blockchain Engineer

About the role

You’ll collaborate closely with the CEO to develop, maintain, and enhance the rollup stack offerings and customizations enabled by our leading Rollup-as-a-Service platform. You will create custom precompiles and whitelisted contract deployers to introduce entirely new or more efficient functionality, as well as assist in expanding our support for emerging L2s.

Responsibilities

• Create custom precompiles and whitelisted contract deployers to introduce entirely new or more efficient functionality.
• Aid in expanding support for emerging Layer 2s.
• Contribute to defining Conduit’s product strategy and roadmap with the team.
• Debug issues across the stack, including networking problems, performance issues, or memory leaks.
• Take ownership of problems end-to-end, and be willing to acquire any necessary knowledge to complete tasks.

Requirements

We value individuals who can quickly gain a profound technical understanding, are able to swiftly create proof-of-concepts to validate new approaches, and enjoy working independently to identify and solve the most crucial problems.

• A strong background in distributed systems, cryptography, and network protocols.
• Experience working on various rollups, understanding the underlying components, and discussing the trade-offs of those components and platforms.
• Some experience with EVM node software.
• A deep understanding of the EVM and how external tools integrate with it.
• Familiarity with multiple programming languages, including but not limited to Golang, Rust, and Solidity.
