SWBD - BUS Assembly

About the role

Eaton is currently seeking a Switchboard Bus Assembler on 1st Shift to join our team. This position is based out of our Sumter, SC facility. The role involves referring to diagrams and blueprints to correctly assemble and install metal bus bars and other internal components of a switchboard, communicating and working with team members to meet safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity goals. Physical demands include regularly standing, walking, sitting, reaching at or above shoulder level, gripping, and using hands to handle and feel; frequently stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and gripping; frequently lifting/carrying up to 35 pounds and pushing/pulling up to or greater than 35 pounds; vision requirements include far and close vision with depth perception and color discrimination; regular communication required. Work environment includes regular exposure to noise and frequent exposure to dust.

Responsibilities

• Work from manufacturing information such as front views, bill of materials, drawings, blueprints, order entry systems, and oral or written instructions in order to assemble metal bus bars and other components of a switchboard and proactively identify missing components.
