SVP President, Grapevine

Reporting to the SVP, President – DFW West Region, the SVP President, Grapevine is responsible for planning, directing, and leading the operations of Baylor Scott and White Health (BSWH) at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Grapevine. Participates with the CEO and other top leadership to develop current and long-range strategies, priorities, and policies for BSWH. Develops operational goals to meet BSWH business priorities, including implementing short- and long-term financial and operational objectives, establishing performance targets and metrics, and reviewing progress and results. Ensures appropriate governance and controls and formulates and administers policies. Guides changes needed to reach financial goals and ensures the organization operates subject to all applicable regulatory requirements. May represent the organization to major external authorities and constituencies and acts as spokesperson for BSWH. Oversees multiple business units or functional areas directly and is responsible for enhancing the image and delivering healthcare value to BSWH stakeholders, patients, and communities served.

Responsibilities

• Serves as president and top operations executive for BSW Medical Center - Grapevine.
• Establishes hospital-wide operational strategies, policies, programs, and initiatives that enable the highest quality of care, safety, and patient satisfaction.
• Develops and establishes operational goals and objectives aligned to the strategies and business objectives of BSWH, including performance goals, metrics, scorecards, and policies.
• Works closely with the BSWH executive team, operating boards, and Board of Trustees to ensure they are informed and involved in matters of the hospital and other areas of responsibility.
• Leads operational analysis of costs, business performance, and forecast data to determine hospital progress toward BSWH operational goals and business objectives.
• Develops and reviews overall operational budgets, allocating resources in support of BSWH mission and business goals and ensuring cost-effective management of resources.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitates and coordinates interdepartmental activities within the hospital, including Medical Staff communication with other departments.
• Executes resolutions and contracts on behalf of BSWH for the Hospital and other areas of responsibility.
• Leads and sponsors key hospital operations initiatives, programs, and task forces to improve operational performance in alignment with BSWH business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in healthcare operations management or related field, with experience as a senior operations leader in a large, complex, multi-site healthcare system.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience with operational aspects of hospitals, clinics, and a healthcare system.
• Strong data-driven orientation and skilled at applying operational levers to improve results.
• Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility in a rapidly moving and changing business environment.
• Strategic thinker and proficient in decision-making.
• Informative and persuasive presentation skills.
