About the role

EchoStar’s Corporate FP&A team drives enterprise decision-making and shapes corporate strategy. This nimble, high-impact group partners directly with the CFO and senior leadership on core FP&A functions, M&A evaluation, operational insights and strategic analysis across all business lines. We’re hiring a SVP to lead our PayTV finance team—30+ talented analysts and managers responsible for deep subscriber economics, promotional ROI, M&A modeling, and strategic financial insights that influence the CEO, Group Presidents and CFO. This is a high-visibility leadership role for someone who thrives in complexity, moves quickly and can simplify financial intelligence for executive-level decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the PayTV finance organization (30+ team members) with emphasis on coaching, development and operational excellence.
  • Own the end-to-end budget process for multiple departments and guide business partners through approval and planning cycles.
  • Oversee quarterly subscriber lifetime value (LTV) modeling across multiple lines of business with a focus on acquisition, retention and profitability.
  • Present insights and recommendations directly to the CFO, CEO, and senior leaders.
  • Lead cross-functional teams gathering financial and operational inputs for M&A assessments.
  • Perform complex modeling and diligence support, including activity related to In-Home Services M&A and other strategic initiatives.
  • Translate complex financial models into crisp, executive-ready presentations that inform corporate strategies and key decisions.
  • Provide guidance on promotional analysis, operational cost trends and expansion opportunities.
  • Represent Finance in strategic discussions, ensuring recommendations balance operational needs with financial discipline.
  • Partner with operating leaders to identify performance improvement opportunities and long-term growth levers.

Requirements

  • MBA preferred (or equivalent experience) with a Finance/Accounting foundation from a top-tier institution.
  • Over 15 years of experience in FP&A preferably with publicly traded companies.
  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite; familiarity with SQL, Access or OneStream is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills—able to distill complex financial concepts into clear, persuasive insights.
  • Strong quantitative capability, including DCF modeling, statistics, probability, and scenario analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Skilled at building strong relationships with executives and cross-functional partners.
  • Experience in subscriber-based businesses (telecom, wireless, cable, media) strongly preferred.

Pay

Compensation: $300,000.00/Year - $400,000.00/Year
