About the role
Bayview Asset Management is seeking a senior professional to join its Financial Institutions Group (FIG) to lead and expand strategic relationships with banks, specialty finance companies, credit unions, and other financial institutions. This individual will play a critical role in driving origination and revenue generation, working closely with senior portfolio managers to deploy capital into attractive, risk-adjusted credit opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own senior-level relationships with financial institution counterparties, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, with the goal to identify and develop bespoke structured finance and balance sheet solutions tailored to client needs
- Originate, structure, and execute transactions across Bayview’s investment platforms, including mortgage, consumer, commercial real estate, and corporate credit
- Drive new business development through proactive sourcing, relationship expansion, and market coverage
- Partner with portfolio managers, capital markets, and finance teams to structure and deliver customized solutions aligned with counterparty objectives
- Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and manage transactions from initial outreach through execution and closing
- Represent Bayview at industry conferences, client meetings, and market events to enhance visibility and generate asset opportunities
- Provide market intelligence, sector insights, and competitive dynamics to internal stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to company policies, risk standards, and compliance requirements
- Prepare and deliver presentations to executive-level audiences
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless onboarding and execution of transactions
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in financial services, preferably in private credit, investment banking, structured finance, or principal investing with a focus on financial institutions
- Demonstrated success in capital markets, business development, or FIG coverage roles
- Strong understanding of mortgage and credit products, loan origination, underwriting, servicing, and secondary markets
- Experience working with banks, specialty finance companies, credit unions, or similar institutional clients
- Proven ability to originate and close complex financial transactions
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or related) preferred

Location and Compensation
Location is flexible within major U.S. financial markets; hybrid work environment may be available based on business needs.
Base compensation is expected to be $150,000 - $250,000 with the opportunity for incentive compensation including bonus compensation. Salary may vary based on work experience, market conditions, location, and qualifications/training.
