SVP, Enterprise Applications
About the role
We are seeking a seasoned executive to build and lead FOX’s enterprise applications modernization program across all business units. Reporting to the CIO, the SVP, Enterprise Applications will own strategy and execution for mission-critical platforms including Workday (Financials, HCM, Payroll), Coupa, Graphite, Infor, Blackline, and related systems supporting complex operations across FOX Corporation.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead FOX’s enterprise applications modernization program, simplifying the landscape and delivering measurable gains in cycle time, automation, and operating effectiveness.
- Deep expertise in enterprise financial systems, processes, and controls; strong command of record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, FP&A, internal controls, compliance, and audit requirements in complex, regulated environments.
- Protect the CFO’s non-negotiables through disciplined cutovers, parallel runs where required, and transparent risk management tied to audit readiness and reporting accuracy.
- Persistently partner with C-level stakeholders to set priorities, remove friction, and drive adoption through clear communications and measurable success metrics.
- Modernize Workday (HCM/Financials/Payroll) and Coupa by engineering durable workflows, clean data, and a release model that ships improvements continuously without disrupting close or controls.
- Create the integration + automation foundation so FOX can scale change safely across business units.
- Operationalize AI in enterprise workflows with clear guardrails (security, role-based access, auditability, vendor governance) and a focus on outcomes, not “AI-washed” features.
- Build and lead a high-leverage team of enterprise application builders (product-minded app leaders + engineers + automation/data talent) who can prototype, productionize, and scale responsibly.
- Run vendors as outcomes-based partners, accountable to delivery, quality, cost, and speed while keeping FOX in control of architecture and data.
Requirements
- Executive presence with CIO/CFO/CHRO: simplifies complexity, makes tradeoffs explicit, and translates business strategy into shipped capabilities and measurable results.
- Executive leadership owning enterprise systems in complex, matrixed organizations. Must be able to drive decisions and outcomes across Finance, HR, and Operations.
- Deep hands-on modernization experience with Workday (Financials + HCM + Payroll) and Procure-to-Pay (Coupa or equivalent), including integrations and operating model change.
- Proven ability to build and ship: create a roadmap, deliver releases continuously, and scale adoption without disrupting close, controls, reporting, or audit readiness.
- Strong integration and data architecture fluency (APIs/iPaaS, orchestration, data pipelines, workflow automation) with a track record reducing manual work and exception volume.
- Finance-grade delivery discipline: testing strategy, cutover/go-no-go criteria, parallel runs when needed, change management, and stakeholder communication that builds trust.
- Ability to recruit, lead, and retain a high-leverage team of builders (enterprise engineers, product-minded app leaders, automation/data talent).
- Strong vendor and contract leadership.
Nice to have, but not a dealbreaker
- Experience in media, entertainment, or multi-brand enterprises (multiple business units, shared services, competing priorities).
- Experience modernizing adjacent finance systems (e.g., record-to-report, close tooling, reconciliations, FP&A analytics) and reducing “process debt,” not just tech debt.
- AI/RPA/ML experience in production for enterprise workflows with clear governance (security, RBAC, auditability) and measurable impact (cycle time, deflection, accuracy, exception reduction).
- M&A / post-acquisition integration experience across enterprise platforms and data.
- Strong security/compliance partnership experience (SOX support, audit partnership, vendor risk management).
