In this role, you'll solicit loans, deposits, cash management, and other financial products while originating, processing, and servicing commercial loans.
Responsibilities
- Contact prospects and customers for new business, including both loan and commercial deposits, to meet customer retention and prospecting objectives.
- Consistently achieve lending and/or deposit performance results exceeding established objectives.
- Build a loan portfolio via consistent annual new production to upper quartile levels compared to peers.
- Independently interview customers and new loan applicants, gathering information for thorough financial analysis and creditworthiness assessment.
- Structure loans within the framework of loan policy, extending commercial loans up to stated lending limits while managing credit quality and technical exceptions.
- Ensure proper loan documentation, including approval requirements, and work with the credit analyst team to prepare sufficient, accurate credit presentations.
- Present loan requests to lending authorities and monitor loans in repayment, including collections and work-out plans for loans in default.
- Evaluate larger and/or more complex loan requests for approval or denial as per bank policy.
- If applicable, oversee the performance and management of the location Lending Support Associate.
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent experience, with emphasis in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- Previous concentrated credit training.
- Advanced banking and/or leadership training experiences are desired.
- A minimum of 15 years of commercial lending experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Commercial Credit Administration, Credit Analysis, or Loan Review.
Skills
- Able to read and interpret loan documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft products.
- Team orientation and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivation, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication and phone skills.
- Exceptional customer service.
- Required compliance with the SAFE Act, including successful registration in the Registry.
Performance Measures
- Consistently produce $5-7 million per year in new loan originations.
- Drive deposit sales generation to meet established objectives.
- Actively participate in the sales culture, using sales tracking systems.
- Maintain delinquencies and technical exceptions at or below established levels.
- Maintain classified asset volume and portfolio risk within parameters.
- Keep loan loss ratios at or below established levels.

Office Environment
- Office environment.
- Ability to work 1 day/week from home.
This position may be based out of either our Coon Rapids or Northeast Minneapolis office. The selected location will serve as the employee's designated home office.
Pay
$150,000.00 - $220,000.00
