Svane Family Foundation - Culture Forward

The Svane Family Foundation is offering Culture Forward, a $5 million grant initiative supporting arts and culture projects that attract families, students, and young professionals to Downtown San Francisco. Grants are open to individual artists, collectives, and arts and culture organizations.

About the Grant

Applications opened on January 7th, 2025, and will remain open on a rolling basis through 2027. Grant projects will be reviewed and awarded quarterly, with the next deadline at 11:59 PM on September 1, 2026. Applicants may submit one application per quarterly grant cycle and are eligible to reapply in subsequent cycles.

Eligibility

• The Svane Family Foundation makes grants only to tax-exempt organizations classified as public charities under IRC 501(c)(3).
• Individuals and collectives must have a confirmed Fiscal Sponsor that also meets this requirement.
