About the role
Hosts/Hostesses at Sixty Vines greet and seat all guests in a hospitable, friendly, and timely manner. They handle all incoming telephone calls, manage reservations, and escort guests to their assigned tables.
Responsibilities
- Interact with all guests and co-workers in a professional, hospitable, and friendly manner.
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, ready to work.
- Proper uniform should be worn at all times including dress, make up, hair, and jewelry.
- Properly accept and book reservations.
- Offer alternative time slots or options to ensure guests join us when their desired time is unavailable.
- Calculate, note, and quote accurate wait times.
- Offer the bar for cocktails and appetizers before heading to the table for dinner when the wait is extensive.
- Keep floors, entry, and aisle ways clean and free of debris.
- Assist in bussing tables, when needed, and provide guest right of way.
- Genuinely thank all departing guests for dining with us, and welcome all guests joining us.
- Be familiar with all restaurant information to answer any guest questions or address any concerns.
- Answer all phone calls and fulfill any guest needs; be able to place calls on hold when needed or direct the call to the proper department; communicate any important information to the managers on duty.
- Be familiar with our hours of operation, menu items, price range, directions, contact information, and all other basic restaurant information.
- Provide information on daily menu additions, musical talent performances, and any cocktail or wine features for the evening.
Qualifications
- A fun, energetic, and professional attitude at all times while working.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Prior restaurant experiences is desired, but not required.
