Sustaining Engineer

The Sustaining Engineer ensures continuity of production at SunTech Medical by maintaining product documentation and addressing technical challenges that arise throughout the lifecycle of multiple products. The role collaborates closely with Engineering, R&D, Quality, Operations, and Production to minimize downtime, improve test yields, and qualify new processes and components. The position requires strong technical problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to documentation quality. Primary Responsibilities Create and maintain engineering documentation including BOMs, ECNs, procedures, and technical reportsDevelop a strong understanding of SunTech Medical devices to identify root causes of non-performance and operational failuresAssist with installation qualification of manufacturing test equipmentPerform technical evaluation of new processes and componentsIdentify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase productivity and test yieldsTrain Manufacturing Technicians and Operators on equipment calibration, failure modes, and test system operationServe as technical transfer leader as new products transition into the initial manufacturing phaseCoordinate with vendors on the development of of test fixtures and system componentsPerform other duties as required Physical Requirements Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environmentsAbility to lift up to 20lbs Education And Experience Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline2+ years of hands-on experience with electronic design, testing, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environmentExperience writing technical documentation including procedures, specifications, and reports Competencies Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExceptional analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters and data loggersStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Ecel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BIStrong organizational skills Company: #SunTech, If you are passionate about making a positive impact on people's lives, come grow with us!
