Role Overview
We’re looking for a Sustainability Community Builder Intern — someone who is equal parts curious researcher, community architect, and culture shaper. You will help us grow and activate a community of sustainability-first thinkers, with a strong focus on fashion, consumption, and climate-conscious behavior. This is not a passive internship. You will own conversations, shape narratives, and build a movement.
What You’ll Do
- Build & Nurture Community
- Engage daily with our community across platforms (Discord, Instagram, email, etc.)
- Start meaningful conversations around sustainability + fashion
- Identify and activate power users, creators, and contributors
- Turn passive followers into active participants
- Create Content + Education
- Create simple, sharp, and insightful content around: Sustainable fashion, Materials, supply chains, and impact, Consumer behavior & cultural trends
- BREAK DOWN complex sustainability topics into clear, engaging formats
- Experiment with formats: threads, carousels, short-form video, newsletters
- Research (Bonus Edge)
- Deep dive into topics like: Circular fashion, Ethical sourcing, Carbon footprint of apparel
- Synthesize insights into community-first knowledge
- Help position us as a thinking-first brand, not just a marketing one (Strong research interest = unfair advantage here)
- Community-Led Growth
- Identify niche communities (fashion, climate, creators)
- Run small experiments: AMAs, Drops, Community challenges
- Collaborate with creators, students, and micro-influencers
- Culture Building
- Help define the voice, tone, and personality of the community
- Makes sustainability feel cool, sharp, and culturally relevant
- Bring a “subculture” energy — not corporate CSR vibes
Who This Is For You
- You’re a sustainable fashion nerd (or becoming one)
- You naturally go deep into topics on the internet
- You care about climate, materials, and consumption
- You enjoy writing, curating, or explaining ideas
- You’re more builder than consumer
Bonus Points
- If You:
- Read about sustainability for fun (yes, really)
- Have explored topics like slow fashion, circular economy, or textile innovation
- Have run a page, community, or niche content account
- Can simplify complex ideas without dumbing them down
What You’ll Gain
- First-hand experience building a mission-driven community from scratch
- Exposure to sustainability, fashion, and systems thinking
- Ownership, not just tasks
- A front-row seat to how modern communities shape brands and movements
