About the role
Blossom Music Center is seeking a Venue Sustainability Crew member to elevate its sustainability program in 2026. This role is the backbone of Live Nation’s resource recovery and circularity program, ensuring maximum landfill diversion during event waste sorting, educating fans and staff, and supporting the Venue Sustainability Manager. This is a seasonal, part-time position with varied hours depending on the show schedule and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Participate in Venue Sustainability Crew on-boarding and training.
- Assist in mid and post-show waste sorting of all recycling, composting, donations, and landfill materials.
- Work show days and non-show days, including weekdays and weekends, to ensure all waste is sorted and diverted.
- Assist the Venue Sustainability Manager and Supervisor with educational support for venue crew members and fans.
- Maintain a clean sorting area and support post-show cleanup after each event, occasionally requiring shifts on days following a show.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Venue Sustainability Manager on an as-needed basis.
Requirements
- Show days require about 90% of time spent walking, bending, reaching, stooping, lifting, and carrying 50+ lbs., with 75% of that time spent sorting materials.
- Comfortable working in dirty conditions and around unpleasant odors.
- Ability to work outside in variable weather.
- Strong time management skills to arrive on time and work late hours.

Qualifications
- Experience in events or zero-waste events is a plus.
- Foundational understanding of recycling, composting, and material circularity, or a strong willingness to learn.
