Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-quality dishes: Cook menu items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • Deliver specialty offerings: Execute the preparation and presentation of specialty dishes (e.g., sushi or regional cuisine)
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of menu offerings and food products
  • Inspect and finalize plates: Visually inspect all prepared dishes before serving to ensure they meet quality and presentation standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace: Keep food service stations stocked and sanitary while following proper food handling, storage, and safety protocols
  • Manage inventory needs: Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items as needed
  • Comply with regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member well-being

About the Role

The gorgeous Waldorf Astoria Resort in Maui, Grand Wailea, is looking for a Sushi Cook II to join the Nobu team!

Located on 40 acres of lush tropical gardens, this Forbes 4-Star, AAA 4-Diamond property is consistently ranked among the world's best resorts with 780 rooms, 100,000 square feet of banquet space, and 7 food and beverage outlets. This includes 3 restaurants, 3 bars, a cafe, and in-room dining.

This position is part of the Nobu team at Waldorf Astoria Grand Wailea, offering a unique opportunity to work in a luxurious environment and contribute to creating unforgettable experiences for guests.
