About the role

A land surveyor in training opportunity is available in Tavares, FL at Halff. The role offers hands-on learning and professional development under the guidance of licensed Florida PSMs.

Responsibilities

• Organize research for field surveys.
• Join and assist field crews as needed.
• Reduce field observations.
• Prepare data for drafting.
• Aid the PSM in preparing Survey Reports.
• Create deed sketches.
• Perform COGO calculations.
• Support the PSM with Boundary and Right of Way Analysis.

Requirements

• 3-5 years' experience in field or office surveying.
• SIT certification preferred, or on the path to certification.
• Previous field experience as a surveyor is a plus.
• Experience with FDOT, Public Works, or Land Development surveys.
• Experience with Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics or equivalent survey-focused degree for licensure.
• Ability to pass a drug and background screen.
