Surveyor in Training I

About the role

A new graduate land surveyor in training opportunity is available at Halff in Tavares, FL. The ideal candidate will have 0-2 years of field or office experience, previous field experience as a surveyor is preferred, and experience with Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center is a plus. A Bachelors in Geomatics or equivalent survey-focused degree is required for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Organize research for field surveys.
• Join and assist field crews as needed.
• Reduce field observations.
• Prepare data for drafting.
• Aid the PSM in preparing Survey Reports.
• Prepare deed sketches.
• Prepare COGO calculations.
• Aid the PSM with Boundary and Right of Way Analysis.

Requirements

• Previous field experience as a surveyor is a plus.
• FDOT, Public Works, or Land Development survey experience is a plus.
• Experience with Civil 3D is a plus.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center is a plus.
• Bachelor's in Geomatics or equivalent survey-focused degree for licensure required.
• Ability to pass a drug and background screen.
